With a strong passion for storytelling throughout my childhood, I decided that I would pursue filmmaking in my sophomore year of high school. After joining the broadcast team and starting a film club, I started making my short films and projects, which started to teach me more about the art form, and more about myself.
I quickly branched out and started connecting with professors and filmmakers in worldwide industries to learn more about the passion that was growing inside of me. Along the way, I gained mentors and became the festival director of the Pegasus Film Festival (the largest student-run film festival in the Nation).
This journey has taught me much more than I have ever learned before, and most importantly, about myself. As I create, I unlock new perspectives that make me more comprehensive of the world around me.
I take these lessons with me to the University of Texas at Austin, where I plan to graduate in the class of 2030 in the Radio, Television, and Film major.
